The Objective

This riverfront apartment in West End, Brisbane overlooks beautiful parkland and the Brisbane River. The exterior eco-friendly facades have a distinctly “french copper parapet” feel about them. The apartment and interior finishes were a Stockwell development designed by Cottee Parker Architects.  This generous three bedroom apartment has high quality textural and warm toned finishes. The owner wished to furnish the apartment in an elegant decor that attract corporate tenants.

The Approach

The apartment flows from the north-west to south-east across the building and has generous balconies on both sides for outdoor living and passive airflow. The finishes are an elegant combination of warm dark timbers and granite benchtops, deep grey carpet, and white walls. The main living area is a long narrow space. An initial goal was to intoduce elements that created movement and helped to bounced the eye across the room. The room was finished in contrasting colours and complimentary wooden elements.
